Part of my “Good Wines Good Times” collection, Picky Bits depicts delicious Spanish bites paired with a Spanish white wine, Ulivel-la from Masia De La Roque winemakers. It’s a deliciously textural biodynamic wine fermented with indigenous yeasts, with minimal intervention and sulphites. It’s a level up from your typical patio pounder, but perfectly in it’s place paired with a few salty snacks and a long sunny afternoon.
We discovered playing dominos in our latest European holiday, where many nights were spent drinking wine and playing double sixes until late in the night. To me this game and this setting represents having time in your hands, feeling relaxed and unrushed and enjoying the little luxuries of life - the better olives, crisps and wines.
